Calendar Research LLC ("Rangle", "we", "us" or "our") values your privacy. In this Privacy Policy ("Policy"), we describe how we collect, use, and disclose information that we obtain about users of the Rangle mobile application ("App") and the service provided through the App ("Service"), and how we use and disclose that information.

By downloading and using the App and the Service, you agree that your personal information will be handled as described in this Policy. Your use of our App and Service, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Policy and our Terms of Use, including its applicable limitations on damages and the resolution of disputes. The Terms of Use are incorporated by reference into this Policy.

Effective Date and Changes to this Policy

This Policy is current as of the Effective Date set forth above. Please note that we may change this Policy from time to time and will post any such changes to this Policy on the Service. Therefore, it is important to view the Policy periodically. If we make any changes to this Policy that materially affect our practices, we will endeavor to provide you with notice in advance of such change by highlighting the change on our Service or if you have an account with us, providing notice to the email address in your account (for this reason you should make sure to update your account information promptly if it changes).

Our Service

Our Service is designed to allow friends to get together face-to-face by sharing the burden of coordinating an activity. A user ("Organizer") can propose an event with suggested places and times ("Event"), and invite others ("Invitees") to comment on the proposed Event. The Invitees can then vote on the existing suggestions, contribute their own suggestions, and indicate whether they will attend. The Organizer can finalize the Event and notify Invitees. The App can also track the arrival status of the Invitees, and has as other features and functions as noted in the App.

In connection with use of the Service, you will be sharing and disclosing to Rangle and to other users of the Service information regarding yourself, including your name, location, events you are organizing and attending, photographs and other information ("User Provided Information"). We collect, use, process and store your User Provided Information to provide the Service and for other purposes described in this Policy. Please note that User Provided Information is not private and will be disclosed to your Invitees or other persons with whom you share such User Provided Information with through the Service. You should not disclose any User Provided Information that you are not comfortable sharing with your Invitees and being made public. Your User Information may become public and we cannot prevent such information from being used in a manner that may violate this Policy, the law, or your personal privacy.

You can access the Service through your App on your mobile device or through your web browser.

The Information We Collect About You

We collect information about you directly from you and from third parties, as well as automatically through your use of our Service or App.

Information We Collect Directly From You. If you download the App and use our Service, we will collect your first and last name, email address, and telephone number which we use to identify you as a specific user of the App and Service. In addition, as noted above, we collect User Provided Information that is provided by all users of the App and Service.

Information We Collect Automatically. We may automatically collect the following information about your use of Service or App through cookies and other technologies: your domain name; your browser type and operating system; web pages you view; links you click; your IP address; your mobile device ID; the length of time you visit our Service or App; and the referring URL, or the webpage that led you to our Service. We may combine this information with other information that we have collected about you, including, where applicable, your user name, name, and other personal information Please see the section "Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms" below for more information.

Geolocation. If you have provided permission through your mobile device to allow us to collect location information through the App, we may obtain your physical location information in terms of latitude and longitude from technologies like GPS, Wi-Fi, or cell tower proximity. We share your latitude and longitude with our promotional partners (such as Yelp) or a directions-finding service in order to calculate your estimated arrival time at an Event. You are able to withdraw your permission for us to acquire such physical location information from your mobile device through your mobile device settings, although we do not control this process. If you have questions about how to disable your mobile device's location services, we recommend you contact your mobile device service provider or the mobile device manufacturer.

Our Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms

We and our third party service providers use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our Service and App. We may combine this information with other personal information we collect from you (and our third party service providers may do so on our behalf).

Currently, our systems do not recognize browser "do-not-track" requests. You may, however, disable certain tracking as discussed in this section (e.g., by disabling cookies), but such disabling will impair use of the Service and App.

Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate our Service and App, while others are used to enable a faster log-in process or to allow us to track your activities at our Service and App. There are two types of cookies: session and persistent cookies.

Disabling Cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your computer from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Visitors to our Service who disable cookies will not be able to browse certain areas of the Service or use the App.


We will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, except we may (but are not obligated to) archive information relating to your use of the App, including information relating to Events you participated in indefinitely so that you can retrieve that information at any time and so that we can provide certain of that information to Invitees. We also retain data if required by applicable laws or regulations or judicial process or court order.

Third Party Analytics

We use automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics, to evaluate usage of our Service. These entities may use cookies and other tracking technologies to perform their services. We do not share your personal information with these third parties unless we have your prior consent to do so.

Data Subjects in the EEA

For persons located in the European Economic Area ("EU Data Subjects"), commencing on May 25th, 2018, we will process your personal information in accordance with the Regulations (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For EU Data subjects, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:

  1. Performance of a contract: The use of your personal information may be necessary to perform the contract that you have with us to provide you the Service.
  2. Legitimate interests: We may use your information for our legitimate interests, such as to provide you the feature with the best suitable content of the Service, emails and newsletters, to improve and promote our products and services and the content on our Service, and for administrative, fraud detection and legal purposes.
  3. Consent: We may rely on your consent to use your personal information for certain purposes, including direct marketing purposes (such as email marketing). You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at the addresses at the end of this Policy. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

Location of Personal Information/Transfers to the United States

We will transfer, store, and process information that we collect about you, including User Provided Information, as described in this Policy, in the United States, which may not provide the same level of protection for your personal information as your home country. In addition, we may further transfer your information outside the United States for the purposes described in this Policy. By submitting any personal information or by using the Service, and without limitation to any other rights or obligations we have, you consent to such transfer to, and processing in, the United States and these other countries, and acknowledge that your information may be subject to access by law enforcement and other government entities, including courts and tribunals, in accordance with laws applicable in those jurisdictions.

Our Service and App may contain links to third-party websites or applications. Any access to and use of such linked websites and applications is not governed by this Policy, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third party websites and applications. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third party websites and application.

Security of My Personal Information

We have implemented commercially reasonable precautions to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware that despite our efforts, no data security measures can guarantee 100% security.

You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your mobile device. You should not share your App, account, or access token with any third person. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or compromised accounts or for any activity on your account via unauthorized activity.

Access To My Personal Information

You may access and update your personal information associated with the App at any time. You may also request copies, modifications or deletions of personal information that you have submitted to us by contacting us at support@featureshock.com, provided that as noted in the Retention section above, we may (but are not obligated to) archive user information relating to the App and Service indefinitely, except to the extent prohibited by law.

Choices Regarding Your Personal Information

We may send periodic promotional or informational emails to you. You may opt-out of such communications by following the opt-out instructions contained in the e-mail. Please note that it may take up to 10 business days for us to process opt-out requests. If you opt-out of receiving emails about recommendations or other information we think may interest you, we may still send you e-mails about your account or any App you have requested or received from us, including in-App messages regarding updates or upgrades to the App.

Children Under 18

Our Service and App are not designed for children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information or downloaded the App, we will delete such information from our systems and terminate the App's access to the Service.
